Meliha Benli Altunışık is a Professor in the Department of International Relations and currently Vice President for Academic Affairs at Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara. She was a Fulbright Scholar at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies, Harvard University in 1988-89 and received her Ph.D. in political science from Boston University in 1994. Dr. Altunışık was a resident Fulbright scholar in the Middle East Institute in Washington, DC from January to June 2003. Her research interests include Middle East politics, Turkey’s foreign policy towards the Middle East, IR theory and International Relations of the Middle East.
